a chinese sweet and sour rib dish, can subsitute short ribs with back ribs, side ribs or beef ribs

Ingredients

2 lb
short ribs
1  
Stalk of Green Onions (Cut into one inch long sections)
3 sli
Ginger

Dry Red Chilli Pepper

Sugar
1 T
Malt Vinegar
1 T
White vinegar
1 T
Soy sauce
1⁄4 t
Salt
1 T
vegitable oil

Dry plum
1 T
ketchup
1 T
BBQ Sauce

Instructions

1. Put four cups of water in a pot, add ribs in and cook for 5 minutes
2. Take out the ribs and rainse it with cold water
3. Heat up vegitable oil over medium heat in a large frying pan
4. Add three tablespoon of sugar and fry until the sugar and oil completely melt together
5. Add malt vinegar, ribs, ginger, green onions and red chilli pepper
6. Fry for one minute
7. Add boiling water until it's almost cover the ribs add the dry plum, bring it to boil
8. Turn the heat down and let it simmer for one hour
9. Turn the heat back up to high and add the rest of the sugar and salt
10. Stir fry until water is absobed by the ribs
11. Add white vinegar, ketchup and BBQ sauce, keep stir fry until the sauce are thickened
12. Once plated, sprinkle saseme seeds on the ribs and serve with rice
